About the Book

About the Author
Jody Hedlund is the author of over twenty historicals for both adults and teens and is the winner of numerous awards including the Christy, Carol, and Christian Book Award. Jody lives in central Michigan with her husband, five busy children, and five spoiled cats. Although Jody prefers to experience daring and dangerous adventures through her characters rather than in real life, she’s learned that a calm existence is simply not meant to be (at least in this phase of her life!). My Thoughts
A fantastic finish to a fabulous series! Each book has been even better than the last as the action grows and the plot deepens. Of course the romance in this novel is just as wonderful as the first five; I loved reading about the growing relationship between the feisty Birgitta and stalwart Kristoffer. I really like how the characters are flawed to make them realistic, but they satisfactorily grow and mature as well. This book grabbed my attention and kept me captured from beginning to end, causing me to read late into the night as I immersed myself into the fascinating, creative world. I really liked how everything from the first five books came together; therefore, although this novel can stand on its own, I highly recommend reading the entire series in order. This book may be marketed to young adults but I promise readers of all ages will greatly enjoy it. Highly recommended!
