My Thoughts

This is a fascinating romantic trope for a suspense novel, and the marriage of convenience storyline works perfectly for the plot.  The secrets and suspense drew me in in the first chapter, when I promised myself I would only read a little bit before bed… yeah right!  This novel keeps you up too late, so be warned!  I like how strong and resilient Liliana is and I also enjoyed reading about how she perseveres despite everything stacked against her.  The author has a unique voice to her writing, and I enjoyed reading this mystery-packed story.  I was impressed with the author’s deep dive into human trafficking and thought she handled it respectfully.  I enjoyed reading this novel and am looking forward to more by this author!

I received a complimentary copy of this book from Revell Publishing.  Opinions expressed in this review are entirely my own.
